An-Magrith Erlandsen is a
graduate from Cornish College of the Arts. A
Norwegian Seattle native she is the creator of a
group of 42 large oil paintings known as Tarot of the
Pomegranate, in progress since 1998 along with a
self-published deck. 22 of the paintings are over 5
ft. tall. 3 of the paintings being
shown,King
of Disks, Knight of Swords,andTwo
of Swordsare

days with passion and depth.

Join us for the 12th Annual ARTvocacy exhibition in honor of World
Refugee Day. ARTvocacy is advocacy through art. At this free
community event, artists from local refugee communities
share their work - and their stories - to raise awareness of global
refugee issues and to highlight the creative contributions of
refugees in Washington State.

raise addtional for funds for a great cause!

We have 3 types of pricing available. We have done this so that
people from all walks of life can donate to this cause. We ask that
you only take the lowest dollar amount ticket you can afford. This
is, afterall in support of charity. ;) If you would like to donate
more than your ticket pricing, we will have a donation basket going
around.
Tickets range from $20 to $30 and there is no variation in seating
based on ticket prices. Your ticket cost goes to the charity.

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists
to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals. We pull
predominantly from high-kill shelters around the country and place
them into loving forever homes. Sometimes these animals come from
abroad and sometimes from right around the corner. Emerald City Pet
Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time
and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, transport and care for
these animals.
Emerald City Pet Rescue is committed to the following goals:
rescuing stray animals from high kill animal shelters who are
scheduled to be euthanized. Emerald City Pet Rescue saves the
animals who have been in the shelters the longest and will die
unless rescued, either due to much needed medical treatment or
overpopulation. We operate a no-kill facility where rescued pets can
be safely sheltered without the threat of euthanization until we
find the right adoptive family for each pet.

Seattle for the 11th Annual ARTvocacy Event, taking place on
Thursday, June 16th, 2016 from 6pm-8:30pm. ARTvocacy is advocacy
through art, and provides an opportunity for refugee artists to
share their stories through art. World Refugee Day is an
annual day of commemoration, celebrating the strength and resilience
of refugee communities, while recognizing current struggles faced by
refugee populations. World Refugee Day serves to educate individuals
around the world about refugee issues, and what it takes to be truly
supportive of displaced populations. Enjoy one-of-a-kind artwork
created by talented first and second-generation refugees in our
community. Mingle with artists and guests while enjoying light
refreshments. We will be joined by US Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS), who will conduct a naturalization ceremony,
commemorating refugee journey's from harm to home.
